The Sony EX3 is a professional, high-definition camcorder that records to removable SXS cards. Simply connect the camera via USB or FireWire and transfer the video files to your editing system. No tapes, no capturing needed.

This camera closely resembles the Sony EX1 but has a number of updated features. The EX3 has an improved design for hand-held shooting, supports interchangeable lenses, and it will work with a compatible remote control for studio and multi-camera setups. Another interesting change is that the EX3 uses an attachable eyepiece to allow the 3.5’’ LCD screen to double as a viewfinder and as a monitor.

The Sony EX3 offers several choices of 1080 and 720 shooting modes to produces HD images in 1080P, 720P, and 1080i HD resolutions.

In highest-quality 1080/60i format, an 8 GB card stores 25 minutes of video. Lower resolution formats and frame rates use less card space. Note that the EX3 does not record in standard definition, only 720 and 1080 high definition.

Because some customers already have their own SXS cards, no SXS card is included with the camera rental. See below to add one or more cards to your rental.

You must re-ship the item via the included UPS pre-paid return label before 5pm on the "Reship on" date shown above. Days in transit, weekend days, and holidays are not charged and not counted as rental days. Only business days are shown above, because you can only receive or ship an item on a business day.
