This 0.7x wide angle conversion lens fits camcorders with 58mm lenses (thread size, not focal length). This particular item is a Sony VCL-HG0758 and it will fit the Canon GL2, Sony VX2100, Sony PD170 (all carried by ATS Rentals), and other camcorders with 58mm lenses.

A wide angle lens provides a wider field of view, useful when there’s not enough room to move the camera back away from your subject, and also increases depth-of-field.
