You can wear the HERO2 or mount it to your gear. Wear it on a helmet, mount it to a car or bike, or strap it to your head. The possibilities are almost limitless. The camera resides in an underwater housing that features a 3-way pivoting arm for various angles or equipment mounting possibilities.

The housing is waterproof up to 197-feet, so it can go swimming, diving, or kayaking. The camera also features a battery warmer to enable longer battery life in colder temperatures, allowing better performance whether you’re skiing or climbing a glacier. Yes, you really can strap it to your head and climb a glacier. It also works well for everyday projects like skydiving, hang-gliding, or skateboarding.

The 11 megapixel sensor captures full 1080p HD video in three choices of angles: 170-degree wide, 127-degree medium, or 90-degree narrow. The camera can also takes still photos in bursts of 10 per second, or set it to timelapse mode to take one photo every 1/2 second.
