Our offices and warehouse are located on an old main street in a very small Illinois town of 800 people. We’ve purchased buildings that would be vacant if we weren’t using them, and turned them into productive space for our operations. We feel good about bringing life and economic activity to this little downtown when most similar places are trending the other way.
It’s been clear for several months that we are outgrowing our space. Two weeks ago we purchased another building right next door, on the same side of Main street. For the last 65 years it was a plumbing and heating store. Now it will become our new office space and rental shipping center. Contractors are busy now with wiring and drywall, and we hope to be up and running there in a week or two.

Besides keeping this downtown productive and providing good jobs for local residents, our location in this small town keeps our costs low. As an Internet-based business, we don’t need a shiny new facility or expensive leased space in a major city. If we had those things, we’d have to raise our prices to cover the costs.
We’re using affordable space that works for us, so we can continue to provide affordable rentals that work for you. I’d like to think that’s the same practical American spirit that built little towns like this one all across the country 150 years ago.
